Covid-19
The world being what it is at the moment we are all trying to navigate the rules and regs with regard to COVID-19.
Here at Nightingale Physiotherapy Whiston, we are working hard to make the clinic safe for our patients and our staff.
This page will give you all the latest information we have from official sources plus we will let you know what to expect when you book an appointment for physio treatment.

Latest statement from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
Following the statement by the Prime minister announcing a second national lockdown in England to begin on Thursday 5th November, healthcare provision is to continue and people are actively encouraged to seek help.
The CSP have issued the following statement:
The CSP is advising members in all sectors that they should seek to continue to run physiotherapy services during the national lockdown, unless the government explicitly instructs them to stop treating patients.
All relevant public health rules relating to social distancing and PPE must be followed to keep clinicians and patients as safe as possible.

What we are doing to keep our premises clean and infection free patients
Following the announcement of a second lock down physiotherapy practices are still able to open and see clients face to face.
So, we are open for business but due to the Coronavirus out break and continued restrictions to our normal activity we have had to make a few changes to the way we do things.

In line with advice from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, (CSP), and Physio First (the CSP recognised professional network for physiotherapists in private practice), prior to anyone attending the clinic we will undertake a telephone triage to obtain a brief history of the problem you are attending with, check your medical history and check for coronavirus symptoms or that you have not recently been in contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus. We need to make sure that for each individual the benefits obtained from attending for physio out-way any risk, both for you and for us.

The telephone triage usually lasts 5-10 minutes and there is no charge for this.

At the clinic we have made lots of changes to minimise the risk of coronavirus transmission. Due to the nature of physiotherapy involving close contact and hands on treatment, we cannot eliminate the risk completely but are doing all we can.
What we are doing

Telephone triage prior to your appointment.

Covid screen on arrival.
